Alice lost in a Log House

Pretty.Cozy.Cold. If you utter these words in my presence, I would gladly follow you around like a lost puppy. Anyways, I found these three words apt to describe the Alice Log House which I visited last weekend. I think the photos would be the only way for me to describe how lovely the place is.

top shameful acts of 2013: promoting le instagram

Some people have commented that it either looks like Korea or America during spring -well- newsflash! Philippines (ehemMindanaoehem) is just as pretty.

Front view
(most one-of-a-kind caption ever)

Back view
(seriously, I'm a genius!)

Blasting Jack Johnson while I was sitting, waiting, wishing. I actually made a boring ass slideshow
with his song "Inaudible Melodies" as a bgm to the pictures I have taken. teehee!

Humming "Holidays are coming!" while imagining the Rural Tours bus as the Christmas truck from the classic Coca Cola commercial. Only difference is that, this is the only place that lights up since electricity is not yet available in the area. All Hail! Mighty Generator!

One of the many reasons why I like the house is that it has an entertainment area which kept my nephews and nieces busy enough to allow me to do my photo shoots (lol) in peace. But I was actually shamelessly glued to the table top foosball game as well (haha!). Other things to enjoy are the karaoke, scrabble, billiards, and sungka but these are really not necessary coz seriously though, you need to go out!

Then in the morning, you can take a dip in the ice-cold Epol waterfalls which is 30 minutes
away from the house. BRRRR!!!

I think I spent most of my Sunday morning walking along the road and taking lots and lots of photos of the sky. Visual relevance level: 100%

and a random me holding a plastic flower and a basket.

Accommodation is on pre-arranged basis and reservation should be done two weeks before the booked date. I was actually lucky enough to get a free schedule for December since it's almost fully booked.

It's an exquisite place for families and friends dying to have a relaxing vacation. I mean the 18°C temperature would really help to cool you down. So take the Davao-Cagayan bus and make sure to look for the Yellow Gate Adventure Resort in Marahan area coz that would be your landmark.

Rates:

Php 3,500 for the whole house for 24 hours , 12 persons maximum.

Php 250 per excess person. The maximum number of persons allowed will be 25.

Additional payment for the following:

Php 200 - for the use of gasul for guests who wish to cook their food.

Php 50/liter of diesel consumed for the use of generator
