Bigbang and 2ne1

After I graduated from the university, I only had one goal in mind and that would be... to attend a concert (priorities be damned). I live in Davao City which makes it a faraway dream literally and figuratively coz concerts only happen in Manila. Since I was a fresh graduate, I didn't have enough money for such caprices. One thing I've learned from fangirling though --- If you want something really bad, the universe will conspire to help you (The Alchemist, anyone?) With this in mind, I was able to attend...

How to attend your favorite band's concert?
Fangirl Wisely 101:

1. Be updated with your favorite group's schedule. Most entertainment companies announce the dates of concert several months ahead. You can find everything on Facebook and Twitter [Follow official sites of the following: entertainment companies, concert producers, your biases and their dogs, Happee Sy for Philippines (lol!)].
2. Study the venue. Decide what seat number you want.
3. Prepare and secure le money for concert ticket. Run to the nearest ticket seller or do it online once they announce that it's open. quickly.
4. Watch out for airline promos coz this is our lifesaver, I'm talking to you, regional fangirl. lol.
5. Befriend fellow fan girls especially those from Luzon. You might have a free place to stay. But fret not, introvert fan girls, budget hotels do exist.
6. If the concert date is getting near. Save! Save! Save! FACT: You will be lured to buy concert merchandise.

Be strong willed because a lot of people will discourage you, especially your parents (and some boring people). Know what you want and work hard for it. I assure you, this is an experience that you will treasure for the rest of your life.
